Public Bank Berhad (“PBB”) confirms that one of its employees from Public Bank – Papar Branch, in Sabah has tested positive for COVID-19 on 21 October 2020. The said employee had not reported to work since 9 October 2020.

The affected branch has been temporarily closed from 21 October 2020, and deep cleaning and sanitization activities have been carried out in accordance with Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia guidelines. As an added precaution, employees who had come into close contact with the affected employee had been placed on home-quarantine. Rest assured that we have taken all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and the community.

LHDNM : e-Stamp Duty Service 09 October 2020

Dear Valued Customers,

The Bank has launched the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM) e-Stamp Duty Service via PBe and PB enterprise’s Bill Payment.

Customers can make stamp duty payment to LHDNM by key in the Adjudication Number provided by LHDNM as the payment reference.

How to perform e-Stamp Duty payment:

  1. Retail Customer
    1. Logon to the online banking
    2. Select “Bill Payment”
    3. Select “Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (STAMP)” then click “Next”
    4. Choose your “From Account” and enter the “Adjudication Number”
    5. Click “Request PAC Now” and enter the PAC number
    6. Click “Confirm” to complete the transaction

  2. Corporate Customer (Maker)
    1. Logon to the online banking
    2. Select “Bill Payment”
    3. Select “Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (STAMP)” then click “Next”
    4. Choose your “From Account” and enter the “Adjudication Number”
    5. Click “Submit”
     

    Corporate Customer (Authorizer)

    1. Logon to the online banking
    2. Click “Pending Approval”
    3. Select the transaction(s) that need to authorize and click “Approve”
    4. Enter the “SecureSign Code”
    5. Click “Confirm” to complete the transaction

Please register with STAMPS before proceed with the Stamp Duty payment via PBe and PB enterprise.

PENJANA Tourism Financing Scheme 10 August 2020

Public Bank and Public Islamic Bank are participating financial institutions of RM1.0 billion PENJANA Tourism Financing (PTF) Scheme to support viable Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in tourism sector, by preserving their capacity as well as assisting them to undertake the necessary investment to adjust and remain viable post-COVID-19.

Salient features of the PTF:

  • Loan / Financing up to RM300,000 per SME
  • Financing rate of 3.5% fixed per annum
  • Moratorium period of 12 months
  • Business in operation for a minimum of 2 years
  • Recipients of Special Relief Facility's (SRF) and PENJANA SME Financing's (PSF) are not eligible

Post Moratorium Announcement 29 July 2020

PBB/PIBB is ready to assist customers who are not able to meet loan/financing repayment/payment post moratorium ending on 30 September 2020.

PBB/PIBB Repayment Assistance Programme shall be launched soon. A simplified application process will be available at our digital platform upon launching of the Programme.

The Repayment Assistance Programme will comprise flexible repayment terms, which includes reduced monthly instalment and extension of loan/financing tenure.

Further announcement will be made soon upon launching of PBB/PIBB Digital Repayment Assistance Programme.

Revised Banking Hours for Kuala Dungun Branch 28 April 2020

Following the Government’s Extended Movement Control Order (MCO), the banking hours for Kuala Dungun branch are as follows w.e.f. 27 April 2020 until the the MCO is lifted:

9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

 

The Bank’s online banking channels remain uninterrupted. For banking transactions, customers are advised to utilise the Bank’s electronic banking, mobile banking and other online services, as part of its social distancing measures to ensure effective containment of COVID-19 outbreak.

COVID-19 Moratorium: E-SI for PBB Loan/Financing 03 April 2020

Dear Valued Customers,

With reference to the recent announcement on the automatic 6-month moratorium for loans/financing effective 1 April 2020, kindly check if you have any existing E-Standing Instructions (E-SI) scheduled for your PBB Loan / Financing payment. 
 
Please take note that the moratorium will not automatically cancel your scheduled E-SI payments to PBB Loan/Financing. If you wish to stop your scheduled E-SI payments, please log in to PBe / PB enterprise and manually delete your E-SI.

Please follow these simple steps on how to delete an E-SI:

For PBe: 

  1. Log in to PBe
  2. After login, select ‘Account’
  3. Click on ‘E-Standing Instruction (E-SI)’
  4. Click on ‘Manage E-SI’
  5. Select the E-SI you want to manage and click on ‘View Details’
  6. Check the checkbox on which transactions you wish to delete
  7. Click on ‘Delete’ to complete the process
For PB enterprise:
  1. Log in to PB enterprise
  2. After login, select ‘PB Loan/Financing Account'
  3. Click on ‘Manage E-Standing Instruction (E-SI)’
  4. Check the checkbox on which transactions you wish to delete
  5. Click on ‘Cancel E-SI’ 
  6. Enter a valid cancellation reason
  7. Click 'OK' to submit for Authorizer to approve

IMPOSITION OF JOMPAY REFUND REQUEST FEE ON PAYER
 
Dear Valued Customers,
 
With effect from 1 January 2020, Public Bank Berhad (PBB) and Public Islamic Bank Berhad (PIBB) will impose a RM2.00 refund fee for each JomPay refund request due to erroneous payment caused by the Customer/Payer.
 
The refund fee of RM2.00 will be deducted from the amount refunded by the Biller to PBB/ PIBB. Only the net amount refunded (after deduction of the said refund fee) will be paid to the Customer/Payer.

PENGENAAN FI KEPADA PEMBUAT BAYARAN BAGI PERMOHONAN BAYARAN BALIK JOMPAY

Pelanggan yang Dihargai,

Bermula pada 1 Januari 2020, Public Bank Berhad (PBB) dan Public Islamic Bank Berhad (PIBB) akan mengenakan fi pembayaran balik sebanyak RM2.00 bagi setiap permohonan untuk pembayaran balik JomPay disebabkan oleh kesilapan pembayaran oleh Pelanggan / Pembuat Bayaran.

Zero-rated Goods and Services Tax 01 June 2018

The Finance Ministry has recently announced that Goods and Services Tax (GST) for goods and services that are imposed at a standard rate of 6% will be reduced to zero rated with effect from 1 June 2018 until further notice.

Following this announcement, the Bank has updated our fees and charges to reflect the reduction in the rate of the GST.

For premature withdrawals performed prior to 1 January 2019, the existing terms and conditions on interest/profit payment for the above products will still be applicable.

PB MySalary Savings Account-i 22 December 2017

Please be informed that with effect from 10 January 2018, the conversion period to convert the PB MySalary Savings Account-i to Savings Account-i will be revised from 6 months to 3 months i.e. if there are no crediting transactions into PB MySalary Savings Account-i for a continuous period of not less than 3 months, the account will be converted to a Savings Account-i.

Accordingly, the revised Terms  & Conditions Governing Savings Account-i will be available in the Bank's website by 10 January 2018.

Notice On The Permitted Sources And Uses Of Funds In An External Account 21 February 2017

Dear Customers,
 
In line with Notice 4 of the Foreign Exchange Administration Rules of Malaysia, operation of a ringgit account by a non-resident opened individually or jointly with another resident/non-resident may be subject to the following restrictions on the sources and uses of funds:
 
  1. Deposit/encashment/withdrawal up to RM10,000 per cheque;
  2. Deposit up to RM10,000 per day through Self Service Terminals;
  3. Transaction(s) up to RM10,000 per account through any other electronic means, including internet banking, mobile banking or any mobile payment; and
  4. Any deposit up to RM10,000 per account per day in cash.
 
The operation of a ringgit account by a non-resident would be subject to the above restrictions with the exception of the following accounts maintained by:
 
  1. A non-resident studying or working in Malaysia with a valid working permit;
  2. Spouse, children or parents of a non-resident studying or working in Malaysia;
  3. Participant of Malaysia: My Second Home Programme; or
  4. A High Commission, Embassy or Consulate.
 
Non-resident maintaining ringgit account with the Bank is advised to contact the account holding branch should you have any enquiry as to how the above rules affect your account operation.
