This plan has savings element and the takaful benefits may be extended to the Person Covered’s spouse and dependents.
- Death Benefit (Natural/ Accidental Causes)
In the event of the Person Covered’s death is due to natural or accidental causes, the Death Sum Covered will be payable in one lump sum. The Takaful Certificate will be terminated upon payment of death benefit.
- Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Benefit (Natural/ Accidental Causes)
In the event of the Person Covered suffers TPD due to natural or accidental causes for at least six (6) consecutive months, the TPD Sum Covered will be payable in one lump sum. The maximum amount of the TPD Sum Covered payable from all Takaful Certificates written with Takaful IKHLAS on the life of the same Person Covered shall not exceed RM2,000,000. - Partial Permanent Disability (PPD) Benefit (Accidental Causes)
In the event of the Person Covered suffers PPD due to accidental causes, the percentage of Sum Covered as per the Schedule of Indemnity* will be payable. More than one claim may be made under this benefit, provided the total amount paid out does not exceed 100% of the PPD Sum Covered. - Critical Illness (CI) Benefit – Accelerated Basis
In the event the Person Covered is diagnosed with any of the 36 CI within the term of the Takaful Certificate, the CI Sum Covered will be payable in one lump sum. The Sum Covered payable for this benefit will reduce the Sum Covered for Death/TPD benefit. - Hospital Benefit (HB)
In the event the Person Covered is hospitalised in Government Hospital or registered medical center/ Hospital, the daily hospital benefits will be payable for a minimum confinement period of six (6) consecutive hours (excluding confinement due to Day Care treatment) for which the hospital makes a daily room and board charge.
The maximum number of days are:- 180 days per event of hospitalisation
- 365 days in aggregate arising from all causes of hospitalisation, after which this benefit will be terminated. This aggregate limit applies for the lifetime of the Person Covered.
- Immediate Death Expense (IDE) Benefit
In the event of the Person Covered’s death, the IDE Sum Covered will be payable in one lump sum. - Outpatient Medical Reimbursement Benefit (OMRB)
A reimbursement of actual medical expenses incurred for treatment of a bodily injury due to an accident up to the specified amount. Compensation under this benefit shall be payable only for a period of treatment of up to 6 months from the date of the accident, provided that such medical treatment is administered to the Person Covered by a qualified medical practitioner. - Maturity Benefit
Person Covered will receive the accumulated balance in the Personal Investment Account (PIA) upon maturity, if any. - Surrender Benefit
Person Covered will receive the accumulated balance in the PIA upon surrender, if any. - Partial Cash Withdrawal Option
The Person Covered may request a partial cash withdrawal from PIA subject to the following conditions:- Individual Takaful Certificate has been inforced for 3 years from the commencement date;
- Amount allowed to be withdrawn is 30% from the PIA balance;
- Subsequent withdrawals can be done every 3 years subject to a maximum of 3 withdrawals during the Individual Takaful Certificate term; and
- Withdrawal charges of RM15 will be charged from PIA for every transaction.

Takaful contributions payment term is equivalent to the coverage term for this product.
This plan is open to PBB/PIBB customers where the Person Covered (main participant/ spouse) aged between 18 to 60 years old.
Note: For child as a dependent, the entry age starts from 30 days.
1. Exclusions on Death Benefit
- Commit suicide, whether sane or insane; or
- As a result of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted diseases; or
- Pre-existing condition.
2. Exclusions on TPD/ PPD
- Self-inflicted injury or any attempt while sane or insane; or
- Military or naval service in time of declared or undeclared war or while under orders for war like operations or restoration of public order; or
- Entering, operating or servicing, ascending or descending from or with any aerial device or conveyance except while the person covered is in an aircraft operated by a commercial passenger airline on a regular scheduled passenger trip over its established passenger route or when the person(s) covered is a passenger of a fully licensed aircraft or helicopter services operating in areas not serviced by a regular scheduled passenger aircraft.
3. Exclusions on CI
- War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities or warlike operations (whether war be declared or not) or civil war; or
- Mutiny, riot, military or popular rising, insurrection, rebellion, revolution, martial law or state of siege or any of the events or causes which determine the proclamation or maintenance of martial law or state of siege; or
- Any act of terrorism. For this purpose an act of terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/ or threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of in connection with any organization(s) or government(s), committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government or organization and/ or to put the public, or any section of public in fear.
4. Exclusions on HB

- Any bodily injury which shall result from hernia;
- Claims at common law for damages obtained by passengers against drivers for the driver’s negligence, recklessness or default;
- If the person covered does not have a valid driving license to drive an automobile or is not qualified to hold a valid driver’s license when driving resulting in the accident.

Yes, you can surrender your Individual Takaful Certificate at any time after the Cooling-off Period. We will refund a proportion of your Takaful Contribution to the Person Covered, if the Person Covered had paid the Takaful Contribution for his/ her cover, otherwise to the Master Takaful Participant.
